The International Women's Club of Copenhagen provides the opportunity for expatriates and women native to Denmark to establish friendships. Monthly meetings and social events put you in touch with women living in the Copenhagen area.

Settling in
Moving to Denmark provides new challenges. The IWC enables you to meet with women in similar situations. We can offer support and learn from each other while having fun in the process.

The Danish lifestyle
Although the IWC is comprised of expatriates, our intent is not to shut ourselves away from the Danes, but rather to help each other adapt and gain a better understanding of the Danish lifestyle and mentality. Our Danish members and visitors make this process easier.

Enjoyment
We have set monthly meetings that include a guest speaker and time to socialize. Our social committees regularly organize various activities such as craft workshops, bridge, sports, languages, art and historical tours.

Information
Each meeting or social event offers newcomers and long-time members the chance to share tips and ideas about the areas where we live. Our monthly magazine COSMO© is filled with information about upcoming activities, member news and articles. In addition, the IWC Board makes every effort to assist new members and answer their questions.

The fee for new members is DKK 475. Payment must be made at the time of application either by sending a cheque with the form or by paying to  Danske Bank Account No. 4130 - 93 22 485, at a bank or post office. Please note that the club year runs from June 1st and membership expires on May 31st with a renewal fee of DKK 400. Renewal notices are printed in the June Cosmo and fees have to be paid no later than 1 September. Members joining after the 31st March 2010 need not renew until summer 2011.

New members are approved at Board meetings. Your application will be processed at the first Board meeting following receipt of your application and payment.
